They are dense in nutrients like potassium which can help control blood pressure and magnesium that has been associated with a lower risk of heart disease.
2. DARK CHOCOLATE :
The great news is dark chocolate is full of antioxidants that can help suppress LDL – the bad cholesterol. So indulge in a square or two which may decrease the risk of a stroke. Stick to cacao content over 70% and choose a brand with no added sugar.
3. OILY FISH :
Research has shown that food high in Omega 3 fatty acids can help reduce the risk of heart disease. The American Heart Association recommends oily fish like Tuna or Salmon twice a week.
